These are just 7 headlines, from just this morning, from one web site.
Horrific, gruesome, awful crimes, repeated day after day, and that is just a scratch on the surface. The Bible speaks of such people.
"...They weave wickedness, they hatch violence. They compete in the race to do evil and run to be the first to murder. They plan and plot evil, think and breathe evil, and leave a trail of wrecked lives behind them. They know nothing about peace and less than nothing about justice. They make tortuously twisted roads. No peace for the wretch who walks down those roads!" - Isaiah 59: 6-10 The Message
These are the last days friend. You can turn on any Christian radio or TV program and more than likely the conversation is the end of days. Everybody is talking about it. You can feel it. Something is in the air. The signs are everywhere. Prophecy has been fulfilled. A careful study of history and scripture will prove the very pages of God's Holy Word. Jesus is coming soon. Are we ready?

Paul encouraged us to confess our sins and turn away from the things that are hurtful. "Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus," Acts 3:19-20 ESV
That's all we have to do to gain eternal life. Turn to Jesus and turn away from sin.
John 5:40 says some are unwilling to come to Jesus in order to be saved. If only they could see a glimpse of what God has prepared for those who love Him. If only they could see the compassion of the Lord. Some think the price too high, but in reality, it costs us nothing. It's free! Take a look at this.
“Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in rich food.Incline your ear, and come to me; hear, that your soul may live..." Isaiah 55:1-3 ESV
I cannot think of a better invitation. Jesus says, come. He invites every single person on the earth, yesterday, today and tomorrow: come.
“Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts." Isaiah 55:4-9 ESV
Jesus has made a claim and His word is sure.
“For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it." Isaiah 55:10-11 ESV
Yes, these are wicked days. The Bible tells us that the hearts of men will grow cold. I think we can all agree, the evidence surrounds us; we are living in the last days.
"And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come." Matthew 24:12-14 ESV
With all of that said, this is not the time to be fearful! Jesus is coming. That is wonderful news. That is the best news you will ever receive.
"When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” Luke 21:28 NIV
The day is coming when evil will be destroyed and the rest of our lives can begin, in perfect harmony with God's will for us. Someday soon we will "...go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress; instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle; and it shall make a name for the Lord, an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.” Isaiah 55:12-13 ESV
I want that more than anything in my life. I want what Jesus wants for me. He chose me and I chose Him. He chose you, will you do the same?
