Overwhelmed By His Goodness

Updated: May 20, 2021

Good morning. It is Wednesday, April 14, 2021.

My desk calendar reminded me of these wonderful verses from Psalm 103. ESV

2 Bless the Lord, O my soul,

and forget not all his benefits,

3 who forgives all your iniquity,

who heals all your diseases,

4 who redeems your life from the pit,

who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,

5 who satisfies you with good...

God loves to do good things for us. I can look back on my own life and see how He has granted small requests as well as big ones.

Psalm 37:4 "Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart."

I cannot help but praise Him for what He has done in my life. I feel so overwhelmed at times when I think of His patience with me; His mercy poured over me; His love and protection in my life. He is so good!

I was having a hard time finding the words to write this morning. I grabbed my Bible and said a quick prayer. Something like "Father, I am having a hard time writing this morning. Please help me." I opened my Bible to Psalm 105

It was absolutely perfect!

The Clear Word version, verses 1-5 "O give thanks to the Lord! Call on His name. Tell all the nations what He has done. Sing praises to the Lord. Tell about all His wonderful acts. Glory in His holy name; let those who seek the Lord rejoice. Let us go to the Lord for help and ask Him to strengthen us. Seek Him daily. Remember the marvelous things He has done, the miracles and the wise decisions He made for us."

Charles Spurgeon once said “Blessed is that man who has done with chance, who never speaks of luck, but believes that from the least even to the greatest, all things are ordained of the Lord"

I believe it pleases God to see us amazed and surprised by the wonderful things He gives us.

"The gift of God to man is beyond computation. Nothing was withheld. God would not permit it to be said that He could have done more, or revealed to humanity a greater measure of love. In the gift of Christ He gave all heaven." EG White

The greatest gift we can imagine is the gift of Jesus Christ, our friend, our brother, our redeemer. Accept that free gift and live a life filled with joy and happiness. Live a life of trust and anticipation for what He can do for you and in you and through you.

I pray your day is blessed! Remember, Jesus is coming soon and He wants you to be saved.

He wants you to live with Him forever. What a concept! God bless you!
