Not Fully Dressed

Updated: Jan 26, 2022

From Monday, March 1, 2021.

It's a brand new day, a brand new week and a brand new month.

We have so much to be thankful for! Truly we do, even through our trials we have a heavenly Father that is always watching over us. We have the love of Jesus who died on a cross for us and is interceding on our behalf. We have a helper: the Holy spirit and we have guardian angels. What more could we ask for?

If only we could "see" what is going on behind the scenes, I believe we would not worry as much as we do. I believe that is why Ephesians 6:11-12 is so vitally important; daily!

"Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

What does the armor of God look like?

We continue in Ephesians 6 verses 14 through 17: (I love the Clear Word version) "...tighten the belt of truth securely around yourself. Cover your chest with the breastplate of Christ's invincible righteousness. Put on the shoes of the good news of Christ's peace. Take up the shield of faith, trusting in the Lord to stop the flaming arrows which Satan sends your way. Then put on the helmet of salvation and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God." Verse 18 "And pray for the power of the Spirit at every encounter because your life depends on it."

Friends, each morning put on the whole armor of God so that you can withstand the devil. It's like brushing your teeth, combing your hair, changing your socks. It is not a one and done deal. It must be done daily (and sometimes more than once a day!)

I pray your day is blessed. And remember, keep looking up. Jesus is coming soon.
