Joy In My Buttered Toast & Other Things

It has been almost a year since I have posted here, and I thought it was time to let you know what I've been up to!

You might have wondered where I have been or why my blog has been so quiet. The truth is that I have been busy taking the things I have written over the years and turning them into books!

Many of the stories I have shared here made me laugh, sometimes they brought tears, and sometimes they left me shaking my head in amazement at the way God works. Again and again, I have found that when we take the time to look back, we can see His fingerprints in places we might have otherwise overlooked.

Writing has always been one of my favorite ways to share those discoveries. I love taking a personal experience, exploring what God's Word has to say about it, and finding the lesson He might have tucked inside an everyday moment. My hope has always been that these stories will encourage others to trust Him a little more and recognize His presence in their own lives.

Over the past year, I have been gathering, revisiting, editing, and shaping my writings into books that can be enjoyed long after a blog post has disappeared into the archives. I have now published four books, including my yearly devotional, Joy in My Buttered Toast (Volumes 1 and 2), Presumptuous Faith, God's Black Velvet Pants and His Name Was Wendell.

I am currently working on my fifth book, The Road I Never Planned. In addition, I just finished writing Newspaper Miracle, a remarkable true story for two very dear friends of mine. Their story reminds us how God can work through the most unexpected circumstances. This book is still in the editing phase but should be available soon.

It has been a journey, and there is still plenty to do! Turning years of writing into books takes time, but it is exciting to see these stories finding a more permanent home. You can find them now on Amazon.

I don't know exactly how often I will be posting here again, but I did not want another year to go by without checking in and letting you know what is happening. This blog has been part of my writing journey, and I am grateful to everyone who has taken the time to read my words, share a thought, or find encouragement in one of my stories.

Most of all, I hope that whether you read something here or pick up one of my books, you will be reminded that God is still at work in our lives. Sometimes we recognize His hand immediately. Other times, it takes looking back to see how He was leading us all along.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Keep your eyes open for the little, and sometimes not-so-little, ways God shows up in our everyday lives!

With gratitude and blessings,

Jeanette
