Car Signs and Wonders

Good morning. It is Friday, February 11, 2022. Jeanette Stark here.

Let me ask you a question. If suddenly the turn signals on your car started blinking faster than normal, would you know why?

A friend recently discovered why. I discovered why a few years ago, but I must admit I did not know for a very long time. I have this saying, “You can’t know until you know.”

If your blinkers suddenly start blinking at a much more rapid speed, it is an indicator that your bulb is burnt out. Good to know since you can get pulled over for not signaling. You could be seated comfortably in your car, thinking you are doing the right thing, when suddenly the red and blue lights come on in your rearview mirror.

There are many signs on our dashboard that tell us something is wrong with the car. I recently saw a sign that looked like a fat horseshow with ridges on the bottom and an explanation mark floating in the center. I had no idea what it meant. It seemed innocent enough and I ignored it for a bit until I looked it up. Low tire pressure.

In fact there are several symbols on your car dashboard you should know about.

"The dashboard of your car features a speedometer, fuel gauge, and color-coded warning indicators. If something goes wrong with your car, these indicators give a signal with the illumination of warning lights. As some of these are really serious, we must know what they mean or signify. Your dashboard may be different, but these symbols are more or less the same in every car and indicate in three colors.

Red: Signals a serious problem or safety issue

Yellow: Signals something needs to be serviced or repaired immediately

Green & Blue: Signals that a function or system is working (operational)

Engine Temperature Warning

In the shape of a pirate ship, this symbol signifies that your car engine is too hot. You need to cool down this overheated powerhouse immediately to continue your journey.

Oil Pressure Alert

Clearly indicating with fuel drop, this alert means that the loss of engine oil. Your engine is running on a low on oil and needs to be checked.

Traction Control

With a car sign on a curved road, this indicator means that traction control system of the car is engaged.

Engine’s Warning

Looks like a yellow submarine, this symbol can blink for many reasons whenever your car engine is having any problem.

Antilock Brake System (ABS) Warning

Seems like a cover of a fitness magazine, it indicates an issue with your anti-lock braking system and needs to be fixed.

Engine Start Indicator (Automatic Shift Lock)

With the shoe sign on break, this signal commands to either start your car’s ignition or get out of it neutral by an engaging break.

Battery Alert

Physics logo of the battery shows that your car battery voltage is short of power and not working properly.

Fuel Indicator

The most common of all with a fuel pressure pump sign, fuel indicator alerts that your car is running low on fuel.

Seatbelt Reminder

As obvious with the image, it pushes you to buckle up your seatbelt for safety.

Airbag Indicator

With a big air balloon over a passenger, this symbol indicates that there is an issue with one of your airbags or with the airbag system.

Fog Light Indicator

Look for a jellyfish sign, it tells that your car’s fog lights are on.

Security Light

The key on the car symbol indicates that you need a key to trigger ignition or there is a problem with your car’s anti-theft system.

Traction Control Malfunction

Exclamation pyramid in circled arrow shows that there is an issue with the anti-skid system or it is shut off completely.

Washer Fluid Warning

Your car’s washer fluid is low and should be filled as soon as possible. See the actual image at brandsynario.com

We are given signs and warnings pertaining to driving, warnings that we should take heed of immediately if we want to stay as safe as possible on the road.

God also gives us signs and warnings to keep us safe and alert while traveling on the road of life. Before Jesus’ birth, at His birth and after His birth, the Bible is full of signs. We will look at just a very few.

When we look at the story of Moses, we see a sign on the doorposts in Exodus chapter 12. If the Israelites put the blood of an unblemished lamb on the “two doorposts and on the lintel of the houses” their first born would be spared.

Side note: I have a question for my pastor friends or Bible worker friends. I was long under the impression that the “destroying angel” killed the first born if blood was not on the doorposts. However, in Exodus 12:12-13 it says, “‘For I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord. Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.” NKJV Was it God who passed over and killed the first born?

The story of Christ’s birth is full of signs. Luke 2 is telling the story of Jesus’ birth. The shepherds were living in the fields with their sheep when and angel appeared before them. The angel told them not to be afraid and in verse 12, “And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger (or feed trough).” The wise men saw the sign in the form of a star Matthew 2.

And here we are, over 2,000 years since that date and God still has signs for us in His Holy Word. Signs of the End Times.

I have been taught about End Times all my life, but what I have noticed more recently…oh, the last 2 years, is that everyone is talking about end times. Christians and non-Christians alike. It does not matter the denomination; people are talking about the end of the world; Jesus is coming.

What does the Bible say about end-time signs?

Wars and rumors of wars; nations rising against each other. Matthew 24:6-8 “And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.” NKJV

False teachers. Matthew 7:15-16 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits…” NKJV

Earthquakes in different places, famines and plagues. Matthew 24:7 “For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.” NKJV

People would become greedy, money hungry and rebellious. “ 2 Timothy 3:1-6 “But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!” NKJV

People will mock the signs of the end and the 2nd coming of Jesus. 2 Peter 3:4 “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” NKJV

People will and already have, claimed to be Christ. Matthew 24:5 “For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.”

The Bible tells us that Satan himself can appear as an angel of light! 2 Corinthians 11:14 “And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.”

We have signs and warnings, so that we will not be deceived. Jesus will return in the sky, the same way He left after His resurrection. We know that from Acts 1:11 “…“Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”

If someone tells you that Jesus has come and He is performing miracles in this place or that, DO NOT believe it.

Matthew 24:24-26 “For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you beforehand. “Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it.”

False christs and false prophets WILL show great signs and wonders, but do not believe it.

We will not anyone to tell us Jesus has come. We will see it with our own eyes and hear it with our own ears. Revelation 1:7 “Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.”

Amen indeed!

Jesus is coming. Get ready. Know the signs. Study the manual, your Bible. Do not be ignorant about what to look for.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 “Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. “

But most importantly, do not be afraid my friend. God does not give us the spirit of fear. Fear comes from the devil.

2 Timothy 1:7 “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” NKJV
